Let me tell you a little bit about myself, before getting to know you in the information session!

The Beginning
I majored in English but randomly took a Japanese education course. That led me to discover the beauty of the language. A professor welcomed me into his lab, where I studied Japanese intensively. That inspired my dream of teaching Japanese at university.

Turning Point
During the COVID pandemic, I spent time with my Malaysian roommate and began teaching Japanese online. Teaching beginners in English boosted my skills dramatically—even while staying in Japan.

Independence
With great support from my students, I launched my own site “MtoN”. I taught only existing students, deeply dedicating myself to them. Some left due to life events, but none because they wanted to quit.

New Challenge
After graduation, I started a YouTube channel while waiting to begin graduate school. Within months, I gained 400 subscribers and new student applications.

Becoming Recognized
I started my Master’s at the University of St Andrews, one of the UK's most competitive. Thanks to my achievements with MtoN, I received a scholarship and began teaching part-time Japanese at another university.
